Conservationists working together in the field

Our work

Grants & awards

Small amounts of money, placed well, change what is possible on the steppe.

Much of the most valuable conservation work across the saiga’s range is done by people and organisations too small to reach conventional funders. Our grant and award programmes exist to close that gap — quickly, with minimal bureaucracy, and with decisions made by people who know the region.

Young Conservation Leaders

A programme for early-career conservationists working in saiga range states, combining a small award with training, mentoring and a network of peers.

Small Grants Programme

Small, flexible grants for practical conservation, research and outreach work that would otherwise struggle to find funding.

Excellence in Saiga Protection Award

An annual award recognising outstanding contributions to saiga protection, most often by rangers and field teams whose work rarely receives attention.
